Why Southlake picks us

We're not just a DFW landscaper. We're your landscaper.

Estate-scale work.

Half-acre and one-acre Southlake lots need different equipment, more crew, and longer install windows than typical suburban work. We size the job correctly.

Estate-tier neighborhoods.

Carillon, Coventry, Stone Lakes, Timberidge, Vaquero — every one has its own landscape character. Omar walks the property and tailors the quote to fit.

Premium-tier delivery.

If you're in Southlake, you're not shopping on price — you're shopping on whether the crew that shows up will execute. 15+ years of estate-tier work across DFW, Omar on every estimate.

Weekly lawn care and sod on Southlake estate lots

Southlake yards run large: half-acre and one-acre lots across Carillon, Coventry, Stone Lakes, Timberidge, Vaquero, and Westwyck Hills, most of them inside the Carroll ISD footprint. That scale changes weekly lawn care. A Southlake mow is not a thirty-minute job; it needs the right deck width, more crew, and a longer window. Our weekly service is the full routine every visit: mow at the correct height for the season, edge every bed, walk, and driveway, line-trim the fence lines and tree rings, and blow every hard surface clean. Bed care, hedging, and seasonal cleanups are part of the plan, not an upsell. We hold a fixed Southlake route day so your lawn is cut the same day each week, and we handle full sod installs on the same lots when a yard needs more than mowing, sizing the crew and the install window to the acreage.

Southlake's Blackland clay, and why grading comes first on big lots

Southlake sits on the Blackland Prairie, so the dirt under most estate lots is Houston Black clay: heavy, expansive, and slow to drain. It swells after a storm, then shrinks and cracks through a Texas summer, and on a large lot that movement shows up as low spots, standing water, and turf that pulls apart. On the bigger Carillon, Stone Lakes, and Vaquero properties, the common problem is a thin builder-sod layer dropped over compacted construction clay that never rooted across an acre of ground. We grade for drainage first, amend the soil where it needs it, and only then lay Bermuda, Palisades Zoysia, or St. Augustine on a base that will actually hold a root system. On estate-scale lots that prep is the whole job: skip it and you are re-sodding a very large yard in two summers.

We work the Southlake HOA standards before the crew shows up

Southlake carries some of the most exacting residential landscape standards in the metroplex, and the estate-tier neighborhoods raise the bar further. Vaquero, Carillon, and several of the gated sections require submitted plans with material specs and color matches before any work begins, and the front-yard expectations stay high year-round. Omar walks the property, talks through the scope, and prepares the HOA submittals as part of the estimate at no charge, so the plan is approved before the crew arrives rather than after. If you have had a violation notice over something a lawn service should be handling, or you need a written scope for the board, we sort that out up front. The goal is simple: work that fits a Southlake estate from day one, with no surprises from the architectural committee.

Southlake watering rules and keeping an estate lawn green through summer

Southlake follows the regional twice-a-week watering schedule most years, on days assigned by your address, and on a large lot that schedule is what separates a green yard from a stressed one in August. New sod gets a temporary 30-day variance, and we leave you with a watering plan that fits your assigned days. For established lawns the biggest lever is mowing height: we raise it in July and August so the grass shades its own roots and holds moisture between your two allowed days. Grass selection matters just as much on estate lots. Bermuda is the workhorse on the wide full-sun lawns, Palisades Zoysia suits the partial-shade portions, and St. Augustine is the answer in the deep shade under mature live oaks and the established tree lines on older Southlake properties.

Southlake FAQ

Real questions, real answers.

Do you do estate-scale yards?

Yes. Half-acre to multi-acre Southlake lots are part of our regular work. We bring crew sized for the job and Omar walks the property to scope it.

Vaquero / Carillon HOA — do you submit scope drawings?

Yes. The strict HOAs require submitted plans with material specs and color matches. We prepare these as part of every estimate at no charge.

Best grass for Southlake?

Depends on lot size and exposure. Estate lots with full sun typically run Bermuda. Shaded portions of mature lots run Palisades Zoysia or St. Augustine. We design the lawn to match the property.

Watering rules in Southlake?

Southlake follows the regional Stage 1 schedule with twice-a-week watering on assigned days. New sod gets a 30-day variance.

Hardscape and full property design — do you do those too?

Yes. Paver patios, flagstone walkways, native plant design, outdoor lighting, and full property design. See our /premium page for the estate-tier portfolio.

Do I need to be home when the crew comes?

No. Most yards on our route get serviced while the owners are at work. If we need gate access we'll sort it out up front, and the crew closes gates and blows off clippings before moving on.

How do I know what was actually done each visit?

Every visit is the full service: mow, edge, line-trim, and blow-down, not a rotating menu. You'll see it in the mow lines and the clean walks. If you ever want to know what we did or why, text us and you'll get a straight answer.

What happens when rain pushes my service day?

North Texas rain happens. When a storm makes the yard unworkable, your visit slides to the next dry day instead of being skipped for the week. If you're ever unsure whether we're coming, a quick text gets you an answer.
