New construction sod, done right.
A lot of Frisco yards are new builds with compacted clay and a thin sod layer the builder dropped in. We grade, amend where it needs it, and lay fresh sod that actually roots. We've fixed a lot of builder-installed lawns.
Master-planned neighborhoods.
Stonebriar, Newman Village, Phillips Creek Ranch — every one has different landscape standards. Omar walks the property and tailors the quote to the neighborhood.
In-house Loera crews.
Omar walks the property to estimate, then the Loera team does the work. Family business, not a franchise.
Weekly lawn care and sod from the new builds to old Frisco
Frisco is growing fast, and we have run routes here the entire time, from Stonebriar and the older sections near Main Street out to Phillips Creek Ranch, Newman Village, The Trails, Hollyhock, and the new builds north of 380. Our weekly service is the full routine every visit: mow at the right height for the season, edge every bed and walk, line-trim the fence lines and tree rings, and blow every surface clean. Bed care, hedging, and seasonal cleanups are part of the plan, not an upsell. A lot of crews show up, do one Frisco job, and disappear. We hold a fixed Frisco route day so your lawn is cut the same day each week, and we handle fresh sod installs alongside the maintenance route, which matters here because so many yards need more than mowing can fix.
Thin builder sod over compacted clay is Frisco's real problem
Frisco sits on the same Blackland Prairie Houston Black clay as the rest of the metroplex: heavy, expansive, and slow to drain. It swells when it rains, then shrinks and cracks through summer, and that movement tears up grass laid on soil nobody graded. But Frisco's signature problem is new construction. Across Phillips Creek Ranch, Newman Village, Hollyhock, and the builds north of 380, the builder drops a thin layer of sod over construction clay that heavy equipment compacted and that never rooted, so the lawn starts dying within a season. We re-grade for drainage, amend the soil where it needs it, and lay fresh Bermuda, Palisades Zoysia, or St. Augustine on a base that will actually hold a root system. We have fixed a lot of builder-installed lawns, and we will tell you honestly whether yours needs a full re-sod or a recovery treatment.
Every Frisco master-planned neighborhood has its own standards
Frisco is built almost entirely on master-planned neighborhoods, and each one carries its own landscape standards. Stonebriar, Newman Village, Phillips Creek Ranch, Starwood, and The Trails each have different expectations for edging, bed color, turf condition, and what is allowed in the front yard, and the newer developments tend to enforce them hard while a build is still selling. Omar walks the property, talks through the scope, and quotes the work so it fits the neighborhood from day one. If your HOA needs a written scope, or you have had a violation notice over something a service should be handling, we sort that out before the first visit rather than after. On a new build especially, getting the lawn right early keeps you off the HOA's radar through that first year.
Frisco watering schedule and getting a new lawn through summer
Frisco follows the regional twice-a-week watering schedule most years, on days assigned by your address, and that schedule is what makes or breaks a lawn through a North Texas summer. New sod gets a temporary 30-day variance, which matters in Frisco because so many lawns here are freshly laid. We set you up to water the new sod hard through that window so the roots chase down into the graded base instead of sitting shallow. For established lawns we raise mowing height in July and August so the grass shades its own roots between your two allowed watering days. Bermuda is the right call on the full-sun new-build lots that cover most of Frisco, Palisades Zoysia suits the partial-shade yards in the older established neighborhoods, and St. Augustine handles the heavy-shade pockets under mature trees.
Every part of Frisco.
