Why Plano picks us

We're not just a DFW landscaper. We're your landscaper.

We've worked these HOAs.

Plano's master-planned neighborhoods have specific landscape standards. Omar walks the property, talks through the design, and quotes accordingly so the work fits the neighborhood from day one.

We know the dirt.

Same Houston Black clay as Carrollton — heavy, expansive, slow-draining. We prep and grade with that in mind. Generic out-of-town crews drop sod and leave; we set the grade so the lawn actually roots.

One drive over.

Carrollton to West Plano is a fifteen-minute drive. We're not flying in from another county. Local response, local schedule, lawns that look the part for the neighborhood.

Weekly lawn care and sod across West and East Plano

Plano is really two cities when it comes to lawns. West Plano (Willow Bend, Legacy West, Bent Tree, The Hills of Prestonwood) runs newer, larger lots with strict HOA expectations, while East Plano (Russell Creek, Park Forest, the older sections near Plano Senior High) has mature trees and yards that have been in the ground for decades. We run weekly routes across both sides: mow at the right height for the season, edge every bed and walk, line-trim the fence lines and tree rings, and blow every surface clean. Bed care, hedging, and seasonal cleanups are part of the plan, not an upsell. We hold a fixed Plano route day so your lawn is cut the same day each week, and we handle fresh sod installs alongside the maintenance route when a yard needs more than mowing can fix.

Plano's Blackland Prairie clay, and why grading comes first

Plano sits on the Blackland Prairie, which means Houston Black clay: heavy, expansive, and slow to drain. It swells when it rains, then shrinks and cracks in a Texas summer, and that movement is what tears up a lawn laid on soil nobody graded. On the newer West Plano and Legacy West builds, the usual problem is a thin layer of builder sod dropped over compacted construction clay that never rooted. We grade for drainage first, amend the soil where it needs it, and only then lay Bermuda, Palisades Zoysia, or St. Augustine on a base that will actually hold a root system. That prep is the difference between a lawn that survives August and one you are replacing in two years.

We work the HOA standards before the crew shows up

Plano's master-planned neighborhoods carry some of the more specific landscape standards in the metroplex. Willow Bend, Bent Tree, The Hills of Prestonwood, and the Legacy West developments each have their own expectations for edging, bed color, turf condition, and what is allowed in the front yard. Omar walks the property, talks through the scope, and quotes the work so it fits the neighborhood from day one. If your HOA needs a written scope, or you have had a violation notice over something a service should be handling, we sort that out before the first visit rather than after.

Plano watering rules and keeping a lawn green through summer

Plano runs a twice-a-week watering schedule most years, on days assigned by your address, and that schedule is what makes or breaks a Plano lawn through the summer. New sod gets a temporary 30-day variance, and we register the install with the city when it is needed. For established lawns the real lever is mowing height: we raise it in July and August so the grass shades its own roots and holds moisture between your two allowed watering days. Bermuda handles the full-sun West Plano lots, Palisades Zoysia suits the partial-shade yards, and St. Augustine is still the answer under the mature live oaks and pecans in the older East Plano neighborhoods.

Plano FAQ

Real questions, real answers.

Do you cover all of Plano?

Yes — east and west sides, from Willow Bend out to Russell Creek, Legacy West, and Bent Tree. If you're inside Plano city limits, we serve you.

What grass works best in Plano?

Bermuda for full-sun yards (the workhorse). Palisades Zoysia if you want a softer feel and some shade tolerance. St. Augustine in heavy shade under mature live oaks. We pick the right one for your specific yard.

Where in Plano do you work?

All of Plano — east and west sides, Willow Bend, Russell Creek, Legacy West, Bent Tree, Heritage Creekside, and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Plano watering rules?

Plano runs Stage 1 most years — twice-a-week on assigned days based on address. New sod gets a temporary variance for the first 30 days. We register the install with the city if needed.

Lawn maintenance route in Plano?

Yes — we run weekly lawn service across Plano alongside Carrollton. Mowing, edging, blowing, bed care, hedge work.

Do I need to be home when the crew comes?

No. Most yards on our route get serviced while the owners are at work. If we need gate access we'll sort it out up front, and the crew closes gates and blows off clippings before moving on.

How do I know what was actually done each visit?

Every visit is the full service: mow, edge, line-trim, and blow-down, not a rotating menu. You'll see it in the mow lines and the clean walks. If you ever want to know what we did or why, text us and you'll get a straight answer.

What happens when rain pushes my service day?

North Texas rain happens. When a storm makes the yard unworkable, your visit slides to the next dry day instead of being skipped for the week. If you're ever unsure whether we're coming, a quick text gets you an answer.
