Crews live here.
We're Carrollton-based. We know which streets are getting torn up by Atmos, which neighborhoods have the strict HOAs, where the city tree-debris pickups land. We're neighbors.
We know the soil.
Carrollton's mostly Houston Black clay — heavy, expansive, brutal on grass roots if it's not prepped right. We grade with that in mind. Generic out-of-town crews don't.
In-house crews.
A yard that holds up through Texas summers. Family-owned, 15+ years working DFW lawns, and we stand behind every install.
Weekly lawn care and sod across our home city
Carrollton is home base. We have run routes here since 2010, from Old Downtown and Trinity Mills out to Indian Creek, Castle Hills, Furneaux, Hebron Valley, Rosemeade, Creekview, and the Sandy Lake corridor. Our weekly service is the full routine every visit: mow at the right height for the season, edge every bed and walk, line-trim the fence lines and tree rings, and blow every surface clean. Bed care, hedging, and seasonal cleanups are part of the plan, not an upsell. Because we are Carrollton-based, we know which streets Atmos is tearing up and where the city tree-debris pickups land. We hold a fixed Carrollton route day so your lawn is cut the same day each week, and we cover the whole city, including the slivers that fall into Denton and Collin County. When a yard needs more than mowing, we lay fresh sod alongside the maintenance route.
Houston Black clay under most Carrollton lots
Carrollton sits on Houston Black clay, the heavy, expansive Blackland Prairie soil that runs under most of the metroplex. It swells when it rains, then shrinks and cracks through a Texas summer, and that movement is what tears apart a lawn laid on dirt nobody graded. Carrollton is a mix: established Old Downtown and Indian Creek yards where the soil has compacted over decades, and newer Hebron Valley and Castle Hills lots where builder fill never rooted right. We grade for drainage first, amend the soil where it needs it, and only then lay Bermuda, Palisades Zoysia, or St. Augustine on a base that will actually hold roots. Generic out-of-town crews drop sod and leave. That prep is the difference between a lawn that survives August and one you are replacing in two years.
Carrollton HOA standards and the city rules we work with
Carrollton runs a real mix of HOA situations, and we know which neighborhoods enforce the tight ones. Castle Hills carries some of the more specific landscape standards in the city, with expectations for edging, bed condition, and front-yard turf, while sections of Indian Creek, The Branch, and Mill Valley have their own requirements. Older Old Downtown and Furneaux blocks are looser, but neighbors notice an overgrown yard fast. Omar walks the property, talks through the scope, and quotes the work so it fits the neighborhood from day one. If your HOA needs a written scope, or you have had a violation notice over something a service should be handling, we sort that out before the first visit rather than after. We also work around the city's bulk and tree-debris pickup schedule so seasonal cleanups land at the right time.
Carrollton watering rules and keeping grass alive through summer
Carrollton runs Stage 1 most years: twice-a-week watering on days assigned by your address, and that schedule is what makes or breaks a lawn through a North Texas summer. New sod gets a temporary 30-day variance, and we register the install with the city when it is needed. For established lawns the real lever is mowing height: we raise it in July and August so the grass shades its own roots and holds moisture between your two allowed watering days. Bermuda is the workhorse on the full-sun lots across most of Carrollton, Palisades Zoysia suits the partial-shade yards and is a soft upgrade over Bermuda, and St. Augustine is still the answer in the heavy shade under the mature live oaks in Old Downtown and Old Carrollton. We leave you with a watering schedule that fits your address's assigned days.
