Landscaping built for University Park homes
University Park is established, family-oriented, and proud of its yards. The homes sit on mature, often shaded lots near SMU, Hyer Park, and Caruth Park, and the landscaping is expected to look sharp every season. We design and install with that in mind: shade-tolerant planting under the canopy, clean evergreen structure, family-friendly lawns where the sun allows, and hardscape and lighting that fit the home.
Grass and plants matched to the light
Like the rest of the Park Cities, University Park is mostly shade, and that drives the plan. We use St. Augustine and shade-rated Zoysia where turf makes sense and structured evergreen plus native understory in the deep shade, rather than forcing sun grass that thins out every summer. The goal is a yard that looks full and intentional all year.
Mature trees, drainage, and finish standard
University Park's mature trees and decades-old lots mean we plan beds, grading, and irrigation around root zones and tackle the drainage and settling that come with age. We finish to the standard the neighborhood holds, and we plan for any tree-protection or city requirements before the work starts.
